This virtual space usually viewed on the screen as a medium, now, enter the theater, and follow the web-celebrity (performer) Chen-Wei Lee to explore the causes of narcissism from the #SELFIE culture.
Imagine watching the InstaFamous online, but removed the screening and protection of the screen, with flesh and bone to convey the real perception and create direct and inescapable communication.
By the help of technology, people have developed the habit of examining themselves under the microscope of camera lenses. people have become constantly seeking public attention on the social platform with their most satisfying images, but, are they aware of the real desire hidden behind this behavior?
In the world we are living, where the internet Barbies and Kens prevailing, this seemingly prosperous virtual world in reality is only a gaping empty hole of fast-foodism. kNOwn FACE looks right at the contradiction and void with a piercing glare, leading the audience to contemplate on the open secret beneath the shallow surface.

Chen-Wei Lee reveals the Karma of selfie culture and narcissism, and delicately interprets the process of web- celebrity’s cultivation, and still able to take care of the subtle power relationship between the audience and the work.
As a creator and solo dancer of the new generation, I believe that she will continue to observe social
phenomena and create memorable works for us with her keen observation.
