Elephant(s)
by
Chen-Wei Lee and Christopher Flinder Petersen
Elephant(s) is a pure physical dance duet focuses on the weight constantly in exchange. By carry each other through movements to transform the shape and speed, every lifting and dropping of movement creates a new dynamic and momentum that leads one to an other to discover the partnership in dance. Two dancers with precision of movements to cut through the space and mark the territory with their dancing bodies.
This piece was selected by
The Jerusalem Post for the
STAND-OUT performance of the year.
The two performed a beautiful, precise and straight-forward piece which succeeded in talking about partnership without slipping into kitsch or aggressiveness.
